A monthly anti-procrastination café for writers, creatives, entrepreneurs and anyone with a project they've been meaning to start... or finish.
✍️ Finish that book, essay or chapter, plan your business, work on a creative project, or simply spend time on something that matters to you.
🇯🇵 The Writing Forge is Ballinamore's answer to the famous Tokyo Writing Café where visitors set a writing goal before they begin and are not allowed to leave until their work is finished! Tokyo patrons choose between mild, normal, or hard levels of accountability from the staff, who check in regularly to ensure progress and help writers conquer procrastination. The Leitrim version will not have penalties or pressure, but will be no less effective. 🔥
🔥 The basic principle is the same however. You arrive with a project you want to work on. Choose the workstation that appeals to you, set your intention for the session, and enjoy three uninterrupted hours to make real progress.
📚 Whether you're writing a novel, studying, planning a business, designing a new project, sketching, journaling, researching, or tackling something you've been putting off, you'll be working alongside others who have come for exactly the same reason.
🏡 Hosted in my home, where books and new ideas are always finding their way into the world, The Writing Forge offers a cosy and supportive artist home environment, uninterrupted time, shared purpose, and the satisfaction of finally getting things done, and heading home knowing you've moved your project forward.

📝 10.45 am - 1.45 pm - The Writing Forge
☕ 1.45 pm - 2.30 pm - Optional tea and conversation. Exchange ideas and meet others who are making things happen.
🔥 The Forge lights with three. Once three people have booked, the session goes ahead.
🔥 We begin together at 10.30 sharp. To protect the concentration of everyone attending, late arrivals cannot be admitted.
