13–17 April | L’Île de Bambecque
Just before the New Moon, when nature returns to stillness and prepares for a new cycle, we gather for a 72-hour community fast.
A sacred pause from food, phones and constant stimulation — creating space for deep cleansing, awareness and renewal.
A moment to step away from the noise.
To let the body rest.
To quiet the mind.
To return to simplicity, clarity and presence.
Fasting has been practiced for thousands of years as a gateway to purification — physically, mentally and spiritually.
But it is not always easy.
When the usual distractions fall away — food, phones, stimulation — what lives underneath can begin to surface.
Frustration, emotions, memories, restlessness.
Parts of ourselves we have become used to pushing down.
Fasting brings awareness to these patterns.
And awareness is freedom.
This space is created to meet that process together.
Throughout the retreat we will hold each other in a soft and sacred container, with presence, silence and care.
Not to fix or force anything.
Simply to allow what is there to move.
To become aware.
And to remain equanimous.
The Flow
Day 1 — Arrival & Preparation
We arrive, settle into the space and open the circle together.
A moment to connect, share intentions and become clear about the process we are entering.
We will share two light meals together (lunch and dinner).
After dinner, the 72-hour fast begins.
Days 2–4 — The Fast
During these days we enter a slower rhythm.
We will keep general silence and noble speech, creating a calm and supportive atmosphere for everyone moving through their own inner process.
Three times per day we gather for simple check-ins, where we can share honestly and support one another.
Rather than offering practices, we simply enter this experience together as a field of presence.
Space will be held for:
• Meditation
• Yoga Nidra
• Quiet temple space energy
• Reflection and rest
You are warmly encouraged to bring a journal or creative outlet — drawing, writing, music, poetry, or whatever calls you.
Fasting often opens deep inner spaces that naturally wish to be expressed in sacred and creative ways.
This retreat is also a phone detox.
Stepping away from screens allows the nervous system to truly slow down and the mind to become clear again.
Fasting can be challenging.
For many people it is a deeply transformative process, but it can also bring moments of discomfort, frustration, emotions or restlessness.
This is exactly why we enter this process together in a supportive and held space.
Healing is not always comfortable.
But it is meaningful.
Outside the comfort zone… life truly begins.
Day 4 — Breaking the Fast
After 72 hours we will break the fast very gently, with a soft and easy-to-digest meal, allowing the body to wake up slowly again.
Day 5 — Integration
On the final day we continue rebuilding slowly and consciously, sharing a nourishing meal together and grounding the clarity and fresh energy of the new cycle.

Women’s Cycle Awareness
For women, the experience of fasting can vary depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle. Fasting is generally best during the follicular phase (after menstruation, leading up to ovulation) when energy tends to be higher and the body is more resilient.
It is often more challenging or best avoided during menstruation or the luteal phase (after ovulation leading into the period), as the body may be more sensitive or in need of nourishment.
We encourage women to honor their own body’s rhythm and make adjustments as needed. Listening to your cycle can support a safer, more balanced, and deeply nourishing experience.
