💌 Letters of Love 💌A Valentine Card Project for Seniors Presented by The Bookish Babe Shoppe in partnership with Abide with The Bookish Babe.
This Valentine’s season, I’m inviting my community to take part in Letters of Love 💌 —a new project that has been laid on my heart, focused on creating personalized Valentine’s Day cards for senior citizens in our area, those living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Holidays centered around love and connection can feel especially quiet for many seniors, often marked by loneliness or isolation. My hope is that each card becomes a small but meaningful reminder that they are seen, cherished, and deeply important.
Scripture reminds us, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34) With that calling in mind, I ask that each card will be intentionally left open so I can include a small Bible verse card—created with care—to accompany every message. All cards will be hand-delivered in person to a local nursing home on or around Valentine’s Day as a tangible expression of love in action. (1 John 3:18)
To make this a shared act of kindness, I’ll be hosting a casual and cozy card-writing gathering:

I’ll be providing Valentine’s cards purchased in bulk, though you’re welcome to bring your own if you feel led. Grab a drink from Starbucks downstairs, find a seat, and spend some time writing words of love, encouragement, and hope alongside me.
This is a simple act, but one rooted in obedience and compassion. “Whatever you did for one of the least of these… you did for Me.” (Matthew 25:40)
My hope is to spread love, light, and the reassurance of God’s nearness—one letter at a time. 🤍
