In observance of International Women’s Day, the OV Sea Hags are opening one of our rehearsals to the public — not just to perform, but to give back.
We are growing our mission as a community fundraising troupe, using movement, visibility, and joy to support meaningful causes. This rehearsal is dedicated to collecting donations for Samaritan House, a local shelter serving women and families in crisis.
Hosted at Mudita Cafe & Bar, a women-owned neighborhood bistro, this event is a true collaboration — women leading, women creating, and women supporting other women in recognition of International Women’s Day.
We’ll be in our full dress rehearsal costumes for the Ocean View St. Patrick’s Day Parade, performing our choreography to “W.I.T.C.H.” — an anthem of feminine strength, resilience, and joy — and the iconic German Broom Dance that has inspired women’s dance troupes around the world. 💃
This isn’t a polished stage show. It’s real rehearsal energy — laughter, fierce moments, and community in motion.
🎁 In place of admission, please bring a donation for Samaritan House. Early March is the perfect time for a pre-spring reset. As you clean out cupboards and closets, consider setting aside items that could directly support women rebuilding their lives.
We are collecting:
• Non-perishable food
• Gently used clothing in good condition
• New bedding, blankets, or towels
• New toiletries and personal care items
Have an extra set of sheets you never opened? Toiletry gift sets you won’t use? Winter coats your family has outgrown? Canned goods you won’t eat? Bring them with you.
A clearly marked donation station will be set up on the front outdoor patio. All items will be delivered directly to Samaritan House.
Let’s mark International Women’s Day not just with words, but with action. We hope you’ll join us. Come early and enjoy a drink and bite to eat!
