Priscilla Queen of the Desert: The Musical is coming to Newcastle’s Civic Theatre from 17 to 20 December 2026 for five shows only.
Based on the Oscar winning, groundbreaking film, this dazzling musical comedy follows three friends on a hilarious and heartwarming journey across the Australian Outback to stage the show of a lifetime. Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a joyful celebration of friendship, love, acceptance, and being unapologetically yourself.
This spectacular musical extravaganza features an iconic soundtrack of 80s and 90s disco and dance anthems including Hot Stuff, It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, I Love the Nightlife, True Colours, Finally and many more.

Itinerary:
Departing Port Bus around 07:30 (TBC) we commence our pickups. Comfort stop @ Taree Service Centre before stopping for a bite to eat @ Heatherbrae (choose between Heatherbrae Pies, Hungry Jacks, KFC or Guzman & Gomez own cost). Our show time is 13:00 hence no time for lunch at the Sunnyside Tavern. Running time 2 hrs 35 mins inc. interval. Running times are approximate and subject to change without notice. On our way home we will take a comfort / dinner stop @ Taree South Service Centre.
Bring your pillow and blanket along for a snooze on your way home.
