🐙 HOMESCHOOL MORNING: INVERTEBRATES & SQUID DISSECTION 🦑📅 November 5: 6th–8th Grades
📅 November 6 & 7: K–5th Grades
🕤 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
(Arrive around 9:00 AM for parking and check-in, we’ll have a small activity available while waiting for class to begin.)
📍 Tarpon Springs Aquarium & Animal Sanctuary
Dive into the fascinating world of ocean invertebrates! 🌊 This month, students will explore squid, mussels, starfish, and more through hands-on marine biology and art activities designed to inspire curiosity and creativity.
✨ What’s Included:
• 🐚 Touch and learn about real invertebrates
• 🦑 Squid & Mussel Dissection: each student will do THEIR OWN!
• ⭐️ Starfish Dissection: live demonstration for all ages
• 🎨Ocean-Themed Art Project taught by a certified K–12 art teacher from Black Feather Art Studio in Tarpon Springs! We’re so thankful to Black Feather Art Studio for generously donating their time and supplies to make this month’s Homeschool Morning even more fun, educational, and creative. 💙 The studio also offers art classes, parties, and private lessons right here in Tarpon Springs, be sure to check them out!
🎟 Cost: Regular admission / FREE for Annual Pass Holders
💡 Annual passes include access to all remaining Homeschool Mornings this school year!
👩🏫 Your guide: Miss Paige (or one of our other educators) will lead the class with engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with Florida State educational standards.
🚗 Important Arrival Info: Please plan to arrive around 9:00 AM for parking and check-in so we can begin class promptly at 9:30. Our early arrival window gives families time to settle in and makes the morning smoother for everyone! Parking is limited, but our kind neighbor allows overflow parking in their front yard. We’ll be ready to help direct everyone to a spot.
✨To make the experience great for all, students will be divided into smaller groups for a more personal, hands-on learning time.
