By the will of the Crown, Adrienne Noel deLorraine has been offered admittance into the Order of the Pelican and is sent to vigil. On this day, Adrienne stands between the work already done and the mantle yet to be taken up—held in community, counsel, and reflection.
This vigil is an act of honor and service, a time set apart for contemplation of the path of the Pelican: devotion to the Society, tireless labor, stewardship of people and purpose, and the unseen work that sustains our Dream.
Of the Vigil
A Pelican vigil is a space of introspection and witness. The vigilant sits in humility, listening—while the community gathers to offer counsel, written words, prayers, and presence. It is a sacred pause before great responsibility.
All are welcome to attend in respect and support.
The Theme: Drums, Dragons, Inks, and Drinks

These elements will shape the vigil space throughout the day, offering both symbolism and grounding.
How You May Participate
• Sit the vigil for a time, offering your presence
• Leave written counsel, letters, or reflections for Adrienne
• Bring a drum or rhythm instrument for gentle, intentional moments
• Share quiet conversation, a warm drink, or silent companionship
• Bear witness, as is our custom and our care
Come for an hour or remain as you are able. Vigil spaces are held by many hands.
