The City of Austin is dedicating a new LGBTQIA+ Historical Marker at the southwest corner of Fourth Street and Colorado Street.
The marker creates a permanent place to recognize the people, places, and stories that have contributed to Austin’s LGBTQIA+ history and the history of our city.

⏰ 10:30–11:30 a.m.
📍 Fourth Street & Colorado Street, southwest corner
Austin Capital Delivery Services, Austin Planning Historic Preservation Office, and the Austin Equity & Inclusion Office invite community members to join us as we dedicate this important addition to Austin’s historical landscape.
The ceremony will bring together City leaders, community advocates and members of the LGBTQIA+ community for a morning of reflection, recognition and celebration. The event will also feature music and treats for attendees, while supplies last.
Come help us honor the history, resilience and contributions of Austin’s LGBTQIA+ community and the stories that continue to shape our city.
