As our nation celebrates its 250th year of freedom and independence, the Steele-Holmes Family Reunion is honored to begin our reunion weekend with a guided tour of one of America's most iconic landmarks—the United States Capitol. Join us as we commemorate this historic milestone while celebrating our family's legacy in the heart of our nation's capital.

The Visitor Center is located beneath the East Front of the U.S. Capitol, between Constitution Avenue NE and Independence Avenue SE. We will meet outside the Visitor Center entrance.
⏰ Please arrive by 11:00 AM (one hour before our scheduled tour). This will allow everyone enough time to gather, pass through the required security screening, and enter together. The tour begins promptly at 12:10 PM, and late arrivals may not be admitted.
🚗 Getting There
🚇 By Metro (Recommended)
Capitol South Station (Blue, Orange & Silver Lines) – Approximately a 5-minute walk to the Visitor Center.
Union Station (Red Line) – Approximately a 10–15 minute walk.
🚙 Parking
There is no public parking at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Guests who plan to drive should use nearby public parking garages or lots in the Capitol Hill area. Parking availability may be limited, so allow extra travel time.
🛂 Security Screening
All visitors must pass through airport-style security before entering the Capitol. Please travel light and allow additional time for screening.
🎟️ Only 30 tickets are available!
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve your spot as soon as possible. Every guest, including children, must have a reserved tour ticket. Once all 30 tickets have been claimed, registration for the tour will close.
