Join us for the Music Mixer: Music Meet Up โ a fun, collaborative workshop designed for acoustic musicians to hone their skills while playing together in small groups. Whether you play guitar, bass, mandolin, fiddle, keys, percussion (brushes only, please!), or sing โ this is the perfect space to connect, create, and jam with others in a relaxed, inspiring environment.
Each session will focus on 2โ4 songs as a group, while exploring:
-How to interweave strum patterns and rhythmic textures
-Understanding instrumental roles in ensemble settings
-Basic music theory and chord structures
-Optional chord substitutions for evolved harmonies
-Tempo, genre, and group singing exploration
This workshop is all about learning, growing, and connecting through music โ while having a great time! Expect to meet new people, gain experience playing collaboratively, and develop your musicianship in a supportive community.
Genres will include folk, acoustic rock, pop, blues, bluegrass, and more.
All instruments are welcome!
Participants should have a basic knowledge of chords and strum patterns, and some playing experience.
