🎟️ Free entry for Culture Night – pre-booking essential!Opera gets cheeky in Cautionary Tales – a wickedly smart, riotously funny show for children aged 7+ and their families.
Inspired by Hilaire Belloc’s classic poems, this new production from Opera Collective Ireland transforms the mischief of Matilda, Jim, Henry, and Rebecca into a lively musical romp filled with clever storytelling and bold design.
With music by Errollyn Wallen and direction by Sarah Baxter, the cast features Leanne Fitzgerald, Eiméar Harper, William Pearson, and Dylan Rooney – under the baton of conductor Stephen Barlow. Set and lighting are by Zia Bergin-Holly, with costume design by Jenny Whyte, in collaboration with The Lir Academy.
Expect catchy tunes, clever humour, and a fresh take on opera that will keep audiences of all ages gripped from start to finish.
