🎠AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR YOUTH ACTORS ðŸŽMitchell Area Community Theatre is excited to welcome young performers to audition for two exciting productions:
✨ It Happened on Route 66
✨ Youth roles in The Wizard of Oz
Auditions will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026.
This is a great opportunity for youth actors to be considered for both shows in one audition night. Whether they are brand new to the stage or already love performing, ACT welcomes young talent of many ages, skill levels, and experience levels.
It Happened on Route 66, directed by Tessa DeWitt, is this summer’s ACT Jr. workshop production. Cast members will take part in FREE rehearsals from Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 25, 2026, leading up to performances on Friday, June 26, 2026 and Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
Youth actors under age 16 are also invited to audition for The Wizard of Oz, directed by Ashlee Reck-Villa and Grace Reck-Villa. This beloved musical will be presented July 31 through August 9, 2026 at Mitchell Area Community Theatre. Rehearsal information for youth actors in The Wizard of Oz will be announced later.
In addition to on-stage opportunities, older youth may also have the chance to get involved backstage by helping with sound, lighting, and other production roles.
