🎨 Asian Brush Painting: Korean Ink Painting Workshop
A special hands-on introduction to traditional Korean ink painting designed for youth ages 9–18.
Join us for a free introduction to Sumukhwa (Korean ink painting), a centuries-old art form that combines brushwork, mindfulness, and simplicity. Through calm breathing, concentration, and expressive brush strokes, participants will experience how art and meditation come together in Korean painting traditions.
🖌 Learn traditional Korean brush techniques
⚫ Create or observe a traditional Won (circle) painting
🧘 Explore mindfulness and focus through ink painting
👥 This program is designed for youth ages 9–18.
The workshop can accommodate up to 20 participants in total. The hands-on painting activity will be conducted in rotating groups of five volunteers at a time. While one group participates in painting, the remaining participants will observe and learn through demonstration.
🎁 A small number of participants will receive a Korean souvenir gift through a random drawing (raffle).
