PumpkinFest is a celebration of pumpkins, aimed at reducing waste and teaching innovative ways to utilise them—focusing on feeding bellies, not bins, with delicious pumpkin! The event is free to attend, but few activities will have a small fee.
We will have a few activities listed below:
–Pumpkins Decorating (£3. 50 per small pumpkin) – Opportunity for kids to decorate pumpkins with acrylic pens and googly eyes / pipe cleaners. The point of this activity is to decorate pumpkins in a way which ISN’T carving – so that the pumpkins will stay edible and can be used as food! YUM!
–Fabric Pumpkin Making (FREE) – Kids / families can create their own fabric pumpkins. This activity generally suits older children.
–Pumpkin Cookie Decorating (FREE) – Kids can decorate pre-made and baked cookies, in fun autumnal / Halloween shapes.
–Pumpkin Spice Jars (FREE) – Making up jars of mixed pumpkin spice, which can then be used in baking, etc.
–Leaf crafts (hedgehogs, lions, wreaths FREE) – An easy craft aimed at younger children – creating leaf hedgehogs, lions or wreaths (or all 3!)
–Pumpkin Tasting Table (FREE) – Volunteers Showcasing all the delicious ways we can use pumpkins!
–Pumpkin Patch Photo Booth (FREE) – Fun Photo Opportunity in Our Beautiful Photo Booth!
–Face Painting and Temporary Tattoos (FREE)
–Pumpkin Trial (FREE) – Families can walk around the estate and find 10 pics to spell out a sentence and get a little gift!
–Fabric Pumpkins for sale! (£3 small,£4 medium, £5 large) – Beautiful fabric pumpkins, wonderful seasonal decoration!
