Join Velvet Lotus Tattoo for the 9th annual Tats for Tots Fundraiser.
Woohoo! Another year of fun tattoos and Velvet Lotus Tattoo raising funds for the Iowa City Holiday Toy Redistribution Project.
Tattooing will happen at Velvet Lotus Tattoo from 11-7pm on a first come/first served basis. Designs available will be posted the week of the event here in the event page and on each individual artists page.

🍁Designs will range from $80-200 dollars

Fundraiser backstory:
This fundraiser began 11 years ago when social worker, Annie Ventullo, noticed some gaps in resources for families to access during the holiday season. Many of these resources have strict income guidelines, some have a chance of missed deadlines, while others ask for documentation which can be difficult to provide. This fundraiser aims to fill those gaps and ensure all families have access to happy holidays.
Velvet Lotus Tattoo became involved 9 years ago when Michelle, owner of Velvet Lotus Tattoo, realized she had a way to reach families in need while providing a keepsake to commemorate fundraising participants. Two years ago we grew and partnered with Iowa City Toy Redistribution, supported by the LENA Project and Antelope Lending Library to encourage mutual aid, community building and sharing. The project also helps reduce the amount of trash sent to landfills and increases community connections.

“If you are looking to find affordable (free!) toy gifts, reduce consumerism and waste for the betterment of the planet or just want your gently used toys to go towards making a child happy this holiday season, IC Toy Redistribution is here for you.
