A prairie hike with big views over Elkhart Lake, this is our rescheduled Grasshopper Hill adventure after a rainy cancel last time.
Join us at Grasshopper Hill Preserve, a scenic overlook area known for its rolling prairie, open skies, and rewarding hilltop views. This hike brings a different feel than our wooded trails, more sun, more breeze, and wide-open landscapes all the way through.

📍 Meet at the Shop (we'll head to the trail together)
Trail Details & Experience
• Approximately 2-3 miles, depending on route
• Moderate terrain with sustained uphill sections
• Open prairie trails with scenic overlooks of Elkhart Lake
• Mix of prairie, savanna, and woodland edges
• Exposed terrain with limited shade
🚫 Alcohol-free
📝 Waiver required
🐾 Dogs welcome (leashed)
🚗 Rideshare available

• No state park sticker required
• Parking near trail access (carpool encouraged)
