🌳 In the Food Forest at Salt Life Permaculture (The Salty Village)
As the Florida summer heat sets in, we are taking advantage of the lower-pressure growing season to completely downshift! Join us for our usual 3rd Saturday gathering from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM for a beautifully casual, relaxed afternoon hangout.
We are a hyperlocal, community-positive group open to absolutely everyone. There is no agenda here, and zero sales pressure—just local folks, peer-to-peer support, and shared education to help each other thrive! Youth, kids, and families are warmly invited to come along and join the fun.
✨ What We Are Doing This Month:
🌱 Summer Food Forest Tour
We will take a very relaxed stroll through the food forest, simply pointing out what is what so you can survey exactly what grows well here during the intense summer months.
✏️ "Dream Green Boards" & Community Chat
Inspired by traditional vision boards, we will settle into the shade to contemplate, dream, and share our own sustainable living aspirations. We will provide pencils and cardstock, but there is no formal pressure—use them to map out your dream garden, sketch, or just jot down the names of plants and ideas you liked from the tour! We can ask and answer questions to help each other reach those green goals.
🍛 Shared Food Forest Meal
We will be serving up delicious, comforting bowls of black beans and rice with sweet fried plantains, paired with fresh garden salad greens tossed in a bright citrus dressing. We will also have ice-cold fresh herbal and citrus Mocktails on hand to keep everyone cool!
