🌽 CÉRÉMONIE DES TROIS SŒURS : tradition et biodiversité au cœur de Milton-Parc ! 🌾

C'est avec une immense fierté que Jardins pour tous vous invite à un événement interculturel et intergénérationnel unique le jeudi 25 juin prochain dès 10 h 30 !

Nous aurons le privilège exceptionnel d'accueillir le chef Stephen McComber (Ours d'argent) du Conseil mohawk de Kahnawà:ke, gardien de semences traditionnelles et responsable du portefeuille du développement durable. Il guidera les jeunes du Camp Cosmos et les citoyens dans la plantation sacrée des Trois Sœurs (maïs, haricot, courge).

📍 Où : 77, rue Milton (angle Saint-Urbain), Montréal 📅 Quand : Jeudi 25 juin 2026, de 10 h 30 à 12 h 00

🌱 Au programme :
10 h 40 : Ouverture protocolaire avec l’Ohénton Karihwatéhkwen (discours traditionnel de gratitude envers le monde naturel) par Stephen McComber.
10 h 50 : Enseignement ancestral sur l'importance écologique et culturelle des Trois Sœurs.
11 h 05 : Atelier pratique de plantation de semences ancestrales.
12 h 00 : Moment de partage et dégustation communautaire de pain de maïs traditionnel.

🌽 THREE SISTERS CEREMONY: Tradition and Biodiversity in the Heart of Milton-Parc! 🌾

Jardins pour tous is incredibly proud to invite you to a unique intercultural and intergenerational event on Thursday, June 25th, starting at 10:30 AM!
We have the exceptional privilege of welcoming Chief Stephen McComber (Silver Bear) from the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke, keeper of traditional seeds and sustainable development portfolio holder.
He will guide local citizens and the youth from Camp Cosmos through the sacred planting of the Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash).

📍 Where: 77 Milton Street (corner of Saint-Urbain), Montreal 📅 When: Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

🌱 Event Schedule:
10:40 AM: Official opening protocol with the Ohénton Karihwatéhkwen (traditional words of gratitude to the natural world) by Stephen McComber.
10:50 AM: Ancestral teachings on the ecological and cultural importance of the Three Sisters.
11:05 AM: Hands-on planting workshop with traditional seeds (activity mostly held in English).
12:00 PM: Community gathering and tasting of traditional cornbread.
