Reina Sakao, connue sous le nom de Madame Matcha offrira un atelier de matcha & DIY Wagashi (Monaka)

Reina est la quatrième génération de maison de thé au Japon qui est née dans une famille de thé. En plus d’importer une collection de thé qu’elle fournit à divers cafés, magasins, restaurants et clients individuels au Canada, Reina anime des cérémonies du thé japonaises ainsi que des ateliers de thé.

Lors de cet atelier, vous apprendrez tout ce qu'il faut savoir sur le Matcha (qu'est-ce que le matcha, méthode de fabrication, comment choisir/préparer/conserver/consommer le matcha dans la vie quotidienne)

Vous allez non seulement préparer 4 sortes de Matcha de qualité différente mais aussi des wagashi 'Monaka'. C'est un style sandwich avec des gaufrettes croustillantes à l'extérieur et une garniture à l'intérieur. La majorité des Monaka contiennent de la pâte de fève rouge "anko", mais vous aurez plusieurs choix de garnitures lors de notre atelier.)

Vous goûterez;

- 4 sortes de Matcha

- 3 Monaka: garnitures varient selon la saison: pâte de fève rouge, mochi, crème fouettée(option végane disponible), fruit de la saison, grain de riz grillé, sésame etc.

Ce sera une excellente occasion d'apprendre sur le thé matcha et d'essayer le matcha avec un dessert traditionnel.

Reina Sakao, known as Madame Matcha will offer a Matcha & DIY Wagashi workshop.

Reina is a fourth generation of tea house in Japan. In addition to importing a collection of tea and distributing to various coffee shops, stores, restaurants and individual clients in Canada, Reina also offers Japanese tea ceremonies as well as tea workshops.

D uring this workshop, you will learn about Matcha (what is matcha, fabrication process, how to choose/prepare/store/consume matcha in our daily life)

You will prepare not only 4 types of different grades matcha but also Wagashi called 'Monaka'. It is a sandwish style dessert with mochi waffers outside and filling inside. Most Monaka contains red bean paste "anko" as a filling, but you will have several choices of filling duing our workshop.

You will taste;

- 4 types of ceremonial grade Matcha

- 3 Monaka: fillings vary depending on the season. Red bean paste, mochi, whipped cream (Vegan option available), seasonal fruits, grilled rice, sesame etc.

It will be an excellent ocassion to learn about matcha and try with traditional dessert.
