To help raise funds for the annual scholarship for a graduating senior, Cheektowaga Y.E.S. is partnering with Salsarita’s! ABOUT CHEEKTOWAGA Y.E.S.
Cheektowaga Youth Engaged in Service is volunteer program for students in grades 6 -12. Teens help make a difference in the community. Not only does Y.E.S. provide service hours required for graduation, but the opportunity to make friends, gain leadership skills and feel a sense of accomplishment. Plus, it’s an impressive addition to college and job applications.
The program offers a variety of activities for teens to assist with:
- Leading themed children’s craft night events
- Packing groceries for families in need at the St Stephens Joy & Faith food pantry
- Inspiring future engineers at Lego Club
- And so much more!
Y.E.S. also offers bi-monthly workshops such as Resume Writing & Interview Skills 101 and healthy cooking classes for teens to learn new skills and better themselves; as well as social events to build camaraderie and nurture friendships.
