� Ritu Chakra means “the sacred wheel of the seasons” - a guiding principle in both Ayurveda and Jyotisha (Vedic astrology). �Unlike the modern calendar, Ayurveda recognizes six seasons, each governed by planetary and elemental forces that affect not only nature, but our minds, bodies, and emotions.
Right now we’re in Grīṣma Ritu - the peak of summer - ruled by Mars and the fiery Pitta dosha. �
It’s a season of transformation, drive, and intensity… but when overheated, it can also lead to burnout, irritability, and inflammation.
On August 29th, I’ll be offering a special class on Ayurveda & Jyotisha for Grīṣma Ritu, with Maicie guiding yin yoga to help integrate the teachings. �
