In case we haven't met-
My name is Dina, and I am the proprietress and herbalist behind Berry & Blossom Botanical Apothecary. I am a Certified Nutritional Herbalist, Certified Astro-Herbalist, Clinical Herbalist and lifelong student of the plant world with training in a variety of holistic and herbal traditions and certifications. I am also currently completing my GAPS Coach training, deepening my work in gut health, nutritional therapy, and supporting sensitive individuals and families.
My journey with plants began in 1996 with Jane Bothwell at The Dandelion Herbal Center in Humboldt County, California. Since then, I’ve continued my studies with Dr. Michael Tierra at the East West School of Herbology, California School of Herbal Studies (founded by Rosemary Gladstar), the School of Natural Healing, and the School of Evolutionary Herbalism, among many others. Along the way, I quickly realized that working with plants goes far beyond simply addressing physical ailments. Herbalism became a deeply spiritual practice for me. I believe plants are sacred gifts from our Creator, offering not only physical healing, but emotional, mental, and spiritual nourishment as well.
With over 20 years of experience in the natural products industry, I’ve had the honor of collaborating with leading herbalists and working with companies such as Herb Pharm, Enzymedica, Nature’s Formulary, and Pukka, among many others. I currently also work with Organic3, Inc., makers of Smidge® Small Batch Supplements and distributors of Rosita® Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil, where I provide education, customer support, and community guidance focused on gut health and nutritional wellness.
Before relocating to Great Falls, Montana in May of 2023, I led Magnolia Moon Apothecary in Central Oregon. Today, I continue that work through Berry & Blossom Botanical Apothecary. I’m an avid gardener and grow and forage as much of my own medicine as possible before ethically sourcing from trusted companies such as Pacific Botanicals, Oshala Farms, Oregon’s Wild Harvest, and Mountain Rose Herbs.
I lead public workshops, offer free services to displaced individuals, and remain deeply committed to community herbalism and education. I am a proud supporting member of the American Herbalists Guild, the Great Falls Flower Growers Garden Club, and the American Botanical Council. I also previously served on the Board of Directors for the Montana Herbal Festival.
