Ron is a popular, award-winning secondary teacher from the Seattle area with more than 30 years of experience. His work has been featured on KING-5 with Margaret Larson, PBS, CBS, Suze Orman, and other major media outlets. As a published author, he has written two books and is currently working on a third focused on the positive changes happening across Central America.
With more than 20 trips to the region—including Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras—Ron is passionate about changing the narrative and highlighting uplifting stories. He explores off-the-beaten-path destinations, visits historic Mayan sites, and seeks out sustainable, locally sourced, and safe travel experiences.
