Help protect the waterways and natural spaces that make Hobart home! 💙
The City of Hobart Clean Team is seeking volunteers for a community Lake & River Cleanup at Lake George and surrounding areas.
📅 Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026
⏰ 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
📍 Jerry Pavese Park
500 S. Lake Park Ave., Hobart
-Choose Your Team-
🛶 Water Team
Travel along the edges of Lake George to locate and collect litter and debris. Participants must bring their own kayak, canoe or boat and personal flotation device.
🥾 Land Team
Walk a designated cleanup route along the shoreline and near surrounding storm drains. Each mapped route is less than one mile, and volunteers may join at any point during the event.
Cleanup supplies, bottled water, sunscreen, hand sanitizer and insect repellent will be available. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided to volunteers following the cleanup. 🌭🥤
Every piece of debris removed helps protect local wildlife, improve water quality and preserve Hobart’s natural spaces.
