A lot of our LGBTQ+ leaders have done remarkable things in our community, but now those leaders have reached a place to sit back and see the fruits of their labor grow. They've paved the way with their courage, resilience, and stories. At Kettering Pride's next picnic, we're creating a special Honor & Story Wall to celebrate the people who came before us and the journeys that have shaped our community.
Are you one of those leaders, or do you know someone who has a story that deserves the spotlight? We invite you to share those memories or written stories that honor the lives and experiences of our elders. Whether it's a story about coming out, surviving the HIV/AIDS epidemic, building community, or overcoming adversity, every story matters.
These stories will become part of a traveling display that will be featured at Kettering Pride events and your local shops and safe places throughout the year.
