Let’s celebrate Canada Day!!!🇨🇦❤️
I have not had a house party since I moved to Santa Cruz….! It’s long overdue. If you’re like me, I’m completely sick of American politics….not surprising, since I am Canadian🤷♀️… but I am also an American citizen, like many of you.
You don’t have to be Canadian to come to my party btw
(just don’t bring your American politics here, that’s not what this party is for).
Having said that, this is an invite-only party….if you’d like to bring a friend, please check in with me beforehand - I don’t want any unwelcome surprises. After all
this is my home and space where healing occurs. I aim to keep it at high vibrational level so I would like to know who’s coming.
I would like to offer a little reprieve from the daily b.s propaganda news and offer some good old-fashioned Canadian fun (served with a bag of milk-did you know that we have “bags of milk” in Canada?😃).

There will be poutine, butter tarts, maybe tourtiere (a traditional French-Canadian meat pie🥧 from Quebec), maybe some split pea soup w/smoked ham hock…traditional Canadian comfort food.
Please bring any side dish(es) that you feel inclined to, or any booze, if you drink-I don’t drink much alcohol these days, barely at all…I’ll still have a few Canadian beverages on hand. There may be be 5-pin bowling🎳 outside (challenging since I have two Jack Russell’s, but I’m going to try to figure out something), air hockey 🏒, and Slapshot/Strange Brew/Trailer Park Boys/and/or LetterKenny on a screen somewhere…and maybe some Trivial Pursuit (the game was invented by a Canadian, eh!)- along with a few 2-4’s of beers🍺🇨🇦🦫🍁😁🫶🏼 …AND lots of ‘chirping’ (look up what ‘chirping’ means in hockey lingo🤣🏒)
There will be an open jam circle…hopefully encompassing some music by iconic Canadian artists/bands like
The Tragically Hip, Rush, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot, Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne……you know, great Canadian artists and tunage. Even Nickelback is welcome!!😍🤘🏼🎸
This will be at my home or Jim’s place—I will send a private message with my address as the event draws closer to individuals who are actually coming. I live in Pleasure Point, Jim is Live Oak. This is an ‘evolving event’ - it’s on a Wednesday, so it’s going to be a “drop-in basis” party of sorts whenever people are able to come.
