Looking for things to do in Asbury Park this summer where you actually meet people — not just stand near them? This is that event.

We're bringing together NJ Singles and the Central Jersey Fun Group for a high-energy beach day with games, movement, and natural conversation — no forced icebreakers, no app fatigue.

Singles welcome from New Brunswick, Edison, Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, Princeton, Morristown, and everywhere in between.

Everyone pays for their own Asbury Park beach badge — this is required for anyone 13+ from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The City of Asbury Park (not this meetup) controls beach access.

• Friday weekday rate: ~$7 daily badge
• Buy ahead online: apbeachpasses.com (recommended — kiosk lines get long mid-morning)
• Or buy in person: ticket booths along the boardwalk or the Beach Office at 1st Ave
• Kids 12 and under: free

No badge = no beach. Please plan accordingly.

Where: Asbury Park Beach — meet near the Watermark area on the boardwalk
When: Friday, July 3, 2026
Start: 9:30 AM

• 9:30 AM → Beach meetup + games + boardwalk hangout
• ~1:30 PM → Beach bar social + boardwalk wander
• Evening → Optional night-out continuation

Come anytime. Stay as long as you want.

Suggested $5 donation to keep this group running.

We'll aim to set up volleyball + rotating group games. If you'd like to bring any of these, please do:

• Volleyball
• Spikeball
• Frisbee / football
• Paddle ball
• Cornhole
• Kites

Movement makes it easy to meet people.

• Your own Asbury Park beach badge (required — see above)
• Towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
• Change of clothes
• Your own food and non-alcoholic drinks (alcohol is NOT permitted on the beach or boardwalk — Asbury Park rule)
• Small personal cooler if needed (under 16 quarts per beach policy)
• Cash for the boardwalk / bar later

Keep it simple — come ready to enjoy the day.

• No alcohol on the beach or boardwalk at any time
• Coolers under 16 quarts only
• Swim only in lifeguarded areas — watch for the safe conditions flag and follow lifeguard instructions
• No dogs on the main beaches during the day in summer season
• No glass containers
• Pack out your trash — keep the beach clean

• Street + paid lots near the boardwalk ($2–$3/hr peak)
• Use the Asbury Park Parking app — download before you go
• Arrive before 10 AM if you want easy parking
• Or take NJ Transit to Asbury Park Station and walk

• Singles looking for real-life NJ social events
• People tired of apps, bars, and low-energy meetups
• Anyone who wants a fun, social beach day

Come solo (most do) or bring friends.

This is a community-driven meetup, not a hosted or structured event.

• No transportation coordination — plan your own ride

• Attend at your own discretion
