雖然台灣的喜劇界真的似乎被一群(沒有領導的)陰謀集團完全地控制喜劇界，我認為一個喜劇界應該容納各種類型的喜劇，但我不會為了博取廉價的笑聲, 而講那些衝擊或嘲笑弱勢、嘲諷痛苦的人, 取笑他們的笑話。我比較喜歡自嘲ˊ的笑話，內容又還有一些關於我在台灣生活超過二十年的觀察ˊ和趣事。偶而也有文字遊戲或雙關語型式（但通常把這類的幽默用在漫畫）。我會附上一些我的漫畫/影片，讓你們更了解我的喜劇風格。點擊上方連結.
沒錯，我是完全的異性戀，但自從八零年代，我還是青少年的媽寶，我就有一些同志朋友，常跟他們去同志酒吧和派對。那個時候的世界很不一樣——同志被攻擊是很常見的事，而公開出櫃往往代表著要冒著人身安全的風險。但即使在那樣充滿恐懼與偏見的氛圍中，他們卻堅持不願隱藏自己身份的人。他們挑戰社會規範，堅持要被看見，並且奮戰地在追求平等的路上，至今還讓我深受感動與啟發。其實，我覺得我在這篇貼文裡就是在傳ˊ遞ˋ那種類的精神。
我之所以告訴你們這些，是因為我要讓你們更了解我的心裡：我不會去批評或看不起地貼標籤那些合意的成年人的情感與愛情。事實上，在多倫多和台北(靠近The Village)，我都住過「整個公寓全是GAY只有我是直男」的情況。在我的（英文）喜劇裡，我稱這個經歷我的 “Gay Homestay”.
表演整8點開始，第一段我會幾乎地用中文表演大約15到20分鐘。接著會有10分鐘的中場休息。休息後，我會用英文再表演一段不同內容的笑話，也大約15到20分鐘。
然後，我們會開放觀眾報名參加 open mic/開放麥克風，只要有沒低級幽默（換句話說clean-ish喜劇），每位可以上台講五分鐘的英文或中文笑話。如果你有興趣上台，請在 9月24日之前聯絡我。
當晚表現最好的 open mic 演出者會有獎品！由現場觀眾投票決定！
入場費為200元(包含一盒我發明的免費學ㄅㄆㄇ的注音桌遊 定價399 售價300)

Welcome to our bilingual stand-up comedy show. The English part starts around 8:30 pm.
Even though, Taiwan's comedy scene seems to be controlled by a leader-less cabal, I believe the comedy world should accommodate all kinds of comedy. However, I don’t go for cheap laughs that can be acquired via shock or punching-down type jokes like the mocking of people in pain. Instead, I prefer to do self-deprecating jokes and jokes/observations about (my) life here in Taiwan for over 20 years. I occasionally use plays on words/puns, but I usually save those for my cartoons. I'll attach a video and a few of my cartoons to give you further insight into the kind of comedy I do-do. :p Just click on the links above.
Yes, I’m totally straight, but since the 80s, when I was a teenager, I've had gay friends, gone to gay bars and parties. Back then, it was a different world—gay bashing was far too common, and being openly queer often meant risking your safety. Yet, despite being marginalized, they refused to hide who they were. They challenged the norms, demanded to be seen, and fought for equality in ways that still inspire me. Actually, I feel I’m channeling that spirit in this post.
I’m telling you this because I want you all to know that I don’t judge or stigmatize consenting adults for who they choose to love. In fact, in both Toronto & Taipei (near The Village), I lived in apartments where I was the only the only straight person. In my English comedy, I refer to this as my “Gay Homestay”. :p
I will start the show at 8pm and do 15-20 minutes where I mostly use Chinese. Then there’ll be a 10 min break. After that, I’ll do my 2nd set of 15-20 minutes of different jokes in English. Following that, we’ll open the mic for anyone in the audience who wants 5 minutes to do (only) clean-ish comedy in English and/or Chinese. If interested, please contact me before 9/24. There’ll be a prize for the top performer of that open mic. The audience will decide.
The cover is only 200nt which includes a free copy of my The Bo Po More Game which is designed to help kiddies learn their ㄅㄆㄇ’s. Sticker price is 399nt. We sell it for 299, but you get that and the show all for 200nt.
