2021年，張碩尹獲得了北師美術館的作夢計畫，然而旋即而來的封城，被迫重新思考非實體的展演方式，網路成為彼時主流的展演場域，《肥皂》正式在這個狀況下而生，
該時期也成為張碩尹以工作室的方式協作創作較大規模的計畫式藝術，以及將「選擇」留給觀眾，積極與觀眾互動的開端。
《肥皂》以第一次世界大戰的假新聞事件「肥皂工廠（Kadaververwertungsanstalt）」作為起始點。英國情報機構將德國利用動物屍體加工成肥皂再利用這點，擴大渲染成德軍溶解人類屍體再利用，並在媒體上推波助流。
張碩尹工作室在真實工廠當中搭造了一虛構工廠，每個影片中出現的風景均是真實工廠與美術場景所交融出的超現實景象，其既是肥皂生產的工廠，也是資訊產製的工廠。
有別於多數線上展覽透過數位科技複製現實空間，藝術家在網路上創造了一個虛構的工廠。他透過錄像捕捉場域內發生的演出，並經由工程師編碼，成為在網際網路上存在的「現地製作」。此件作品最早為期間限定的網站版本供眾人探索，並在2026年將推出實體APP版。
時至今日回溯該作，令人驚訝的是無論假新聞、還是線上的展演，好像依舊存在，依舊沒有過多的變化，如同肥皂載浮載沉於網路世界。
發布日當天，我們除了在現場展示新版APP供大家試玩外，我們亦將在當日安排兩場座談和一場派對，分別為：

In 2021, Ting-Tong Chang won the “Dreamin’ MoNTUE” open call. However, the pandemic lockdown forced him to rethink the exhibition formats. SOAP was transformed using the internet became the primary arena for artistic presentation.
This moment marked the start of Chang’s larger collaborative projects—works that give agency to the audience and foreground interaction.
SOAP draws from the First World War fake-news incident known as the “German Corpse Factory” (Kadaververwertungsanstalt), in which British intelligence exaggerated German animal‐fat processing into a rumour of dissolving human bodies for reuse—amplified widely through the media.
Filmed inside a real factory, Chang built a fictional production site where industrial spaces merge with staged art installations—a surreal environment producing both soap and information. Rather than replicating a physical space online, the project exists only on the internet: performances were recorded and coded into an online, site-specific virtual space. First launched as a time-limited website, SOAP will be released as a mobile app in 2026.
Today, SOAP remains uncannily relevant—fake news persists, and online exhibitions continue to drift across the digital landscape like soap afloat in a virtual current.
