🎉❤️🖤💛💚 COMMUNITY JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION 💚💛🖤❤️🎉
📅 June 19
🕛 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Cleaning 🧹 6:00pm - 8:00pm
This Juneteenth celebration is being organized by the community, for the community. 🫶🏽
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed. It is a day that honors freedom, resilience, perseverance, culture, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. 🖤💛
Juneteenth is important because it gives us an opportunity to remember our history, celebrate the contributions of Black Americans, educate future generations, and bring people together in unity. It reminds us that freedom should be celebrated, protected, and shared by all. ❤️💚
What makes this celebration special is that it is being built by the community itself. When neighbors, families, local businesses, organizations, artists, performers, and volunteers come together, we create more than an event—we create connection, pride, and a stronger community. 💪🏾❤️
Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, family-friendly celebration where people can learn, connect, enjoy great entertainment, and celebrate our shared commitment to community. 🖤❤️🖤
Together, we can create a celebration that honors our history, celebrates our culture, supports local talent, and demonstrates what can happen when a community comes together with purpose and pride. 🫶🏽💛🖤
If you would like to volunteer, perform, donate, sponsor, or contribute in any way, please reach out. Every contribution helps make this event possible.💪🏾🖤💪🏾
