Winter Surrender is an evening designed to help you release the emotional and energetic weight of the year. This ceremony is heart-led, supportive, and deeply transformative, a place to breathe, let go, and reconnect with yourself. You’ll move through a guided journey that allows your body, heart, and mind to soften, release, and integrate.
Cacao Ceremony 🤎
Cacao, the "food of the gods," is a powerful heart-opening plant medicine used for centuries in ceremonial practices across Central and South America. Our journey will begin with a cacao ceremony, where you will be served a nurturing cup of ethically sourced cacao. Known for its ability to deepen emotional insights, cacao opens the heart and aligns us with our deepest desires. Cacao also contains anandamide, the "bliss molecule," which promotes feelings of joy, clarity, and elevated consciousness.
Transformational Breathwork 🌬️
The breathwork portion of the ceremony is where the deep release happens. You will be guided through a transformational breathwork session that helps move old emotions, tension, and energetic blocks held in the body.
This breathwork is powerful and catalytic, helping you:
•release emotional and energetic weight from the past year
•reconnect with your body and inner guidance
•create clarity and spaciousness within
•experience insight, emotional freedom, and renewal
Sound Bath 🎶
The second half of our journey will be immersed in a deeply healing sound bath, where you will be surrounded by the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls, drums, and chimes. Sound healing is a powerful tool for harmonizing the body’s energy, clearing blockages, and promoting deep relaxation, helping you enter a meditative state of integration and release.
About Your Host:
Megan Mahoney is a counselling therapist at Awaken Counselling and Holistic Services. Megan has a passion for holistic approaches to mental health and wellbeing, seeing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. Through her own healing journey, Megan has discovered the transformative power of plant medicine, integration, and holistic healing practices. As a lifelong learner, Megan is trained in various holistic modalities, including Breathwork, Reiki, Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Embodied Dreamwork, and trauma-informed plant medicine facilitation.
