Since 2014, millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes in search of safety, stability, and hope 🇺🇦 This event invites you to listen to first-hand stories from three young individuals who fled the war and built new lives in a foreign country. Through their voices, we gain a deeper understanding of the human impact behind the headlines — the courage, the loss, and the strength to move forward 🌻
🙋♀️ Meet Khrystyna from “Empowering young Ukrainians” who wants to share the strive in being a young refugee. Khrystyna will also share her believes in how we can best support and encourage young Ukrainians.
🙋♂️ Meet Vlad from “Ukraine Unity Club” who wants to share his story and tell us how he after coming to Denmark co-founded the “Ukraine Unity Club” and became active in the Ukrainian community here.
🙋♂️Meet Thomas who is an ex soldier started his own organization “UA Support Group”. After 20 successful missions to Ukraine, he is now planning mission 21.
Alongside these personal narratives, you will also learn about the European Union’s role in the Ukraine conflict — from humanitarian aid to political support and protection of displaced persons 🇪🇺
Join us for an evening of empathy, insight, and dialogue — bridging personal experience with the broader political landscape that defines our shared European responsibility 🕊️
🍽️ After the talks, you are all warmly invited to share a taste of Ukrainian culture through authentic food prepared by RUCkitchen and Ukrainian volunteers — a moment to connect, reflect, and celebrate resilience through flavors and conversation.
