✨Stay Gold✨: Celebrate the Outsiders with the Sapulpa Public Library
Join us for an afternoon celebrating one of Oklahoma's most beloved stories! Beginning at 2:00 PM, we'll kick off our Outsiders-themed party with activities, themed snacks, photo opportunities, and a chance to explore the lasting impact of this classic novel and film on Tulsa history and culture.
At 2:30 PM, we'll screen The Outsiders, the iconic film adaptation of S. E. Hinton's novel. Set and filmed in Tulsa and Sapulpa, the story has become an important part of Oklahoma's cultural heritage, and many of the locations connected to the book and movie can still be found in our town and near historic Route 66 today.
⚠️ Content Advisory: The Outsiders is rated PG and contains themes of gang conflict, bullying, smoking, alcohol use, family dysfunction, and scenes of violence that may be intense for younger viewers. Parents and guardians are encouraged to consider whether the film is appropriate for their children.
