Let’s venture towards Turiya — the fourth state of consciousness beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep — through an immersive evening of restorative yoga accompanied by the meditative sounds of live sitar.

Join us at The Awareness Center for a gentle and deeply nourishing practice that invites stillness, introspection, and inner peace. As your body rests in supported postures, the sitar will guide you into a meditative state of timeless spacious awareness.

Courtnay Robbins

Courtnay has been practicing yoga for more than 15 years and has been teaching since 2019, when she received her Yoga Alliance RYT500 certification. In 2023, she continued her training in Dharamshala, India where she received her second certification from the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre. Her teaching style is focused on alignment, awareness and the body-mind-breath connection. She takes a healing approach to yoga, considering each student’s physical, mental and emotional needs so they can receive maximum benefit from the practice. Courtnay teaches yoga at Awareness Center on Thursdays at 9am and 7pm (new evening class starting August 7!).

Miles Tanner

Miles is a member of the Los Angeles International Music and Arts Academy and has been studying Hindustani Classical music under renowned sitarist Rajib Karmakar. His years of study have blossomed into a unique sound that combines lush modern soundscapes with musical traditions that stretch back hundreds of years. Close your eyes and let his sitar guide you into an ocean of infinite bliss.
