Off the back of his 2024 Europe and UK tour, Australian beat-master Alexander Flood will make his Sydney debut headline at the Metro to launch his new LP “ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM”.
Dubbed “nu-jazz”, “jazztronica” and “jazz house”, Alex’s music takes influence from house, UK garage, drum n’ bass, broken beat, and of course jazz music. Having sold out venues across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe, the band will feature some of the country's best improvisers including Erica Tucceri, Jake Amy, and Dylan Paul, premiering new music with tight masterful drums, deep basslines, lush keyboard harmonies, and soaring jazz flute melodies.
Steeped in classic dancefloor rhythms, Alex’s new album “ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM” presents a re-interpretation of club and DJ music through the lens of a live band with a jazzy edge. Tapping into sounds of the 90s and 2000’s while keeping his foot very firmly in the now and beyond, Flood’s new body of work is both for the dancefloor and the listener.

DJ and Producer Hober Mallow presents Mighty Reel on 2SER, bringing a bag-full of original Disco, Boogie, Funk, Soul and Electronic grooves, with a tasty dose of edits and reworks to boot. The lineup will feature some special interstate guests as well as guest sets from some of 2SER’s world class lineup of DJs.
