Dubbed the beginner’s mountain located in West Java with altitude of 2665 meters above sea level, is a complex strata volcano and it has four large summit craters. Mount Papandayan is perfect for the first-time mountain hiker and enjoying a fascinating walk through the rocky moonscape of the crater with sulfur smoke, a river of steaming water and bubbling mud pools.
Not many mountains in Indonesia have same stunning edelweiss meadow, a sulphur crater that steams all day and dead forest.
