This August, prepare for an unforgettable weekend as our beautiful riverside meadows are taken over in true, epic Viking style!
We are thrilled to welcome the incredible Manaraefan Vikings Re-enactment Group to Viking Village for a massive, two-day living history spectacular. They will be building a full, authentic settlement right here in Bridport and staying in character for the entire weekend!
🛡️ WHAT’S ON ALL WEEKEND:
Explore the Settlement: Walk through a real Viking camp with a working forge, authentic tents, and open fires.
Weapons Displays & Interactive Archery: Watch thrilling combat demonstrations, see the weapons of the Viking age up close, and try your hand at archery to see if you have the aim of a true Viking warrior!
Viking-Inspired BBQ & Drinks: Enjoy legendary food straight from the kitchen and cold pints from our outdoor horse box bar.
Mini-Vike (For Kids Under 12): The ultimate holiday treat! The little warriors get to step up, pick up a shield, and actually fight the Vikings!
Whether you live locally or you're visiting the Jurassic Coast for the summer holidays, this is the perfect, action-packed day out for the whole family.
🕒 WHEN & WHERE:
Dates: Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd August
Meadow Festival Hours:
Saturday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Freja's Meadows at Viking Village, Bridport
🌚 Into the evening... The reenactment camp closes at the times above, but Viking Village will of course stay open late into the evening! Stick around for delicious food, indoor games, and plenty of drinks to cap off an epic day.
