In this fast-paced and flavour-packed 1-hour workshop, we’ll guide you through three tasting experiments designed to awaken your palate, challenge your assumptions, and make coffee appreciation fun and accessible.

No prior coffee knowledge needed — just come curious (and thirsty).

Compare the difference between two specialty beans, and understand what taste notes like "fruity" and "chocolate" really means. (hint: its not what you expect)

Next, we brew a coffee two ways, to emphasize acidity and bitterness in coffee. After our experiment, you'll finally understand why your daily brew sometimes tastes "off".

We’ll brew two similar coffees side by side - one from a budget specialty roaster, and the other from a pretty popular brand.

Can you tell the difference? Is cost a good indicator of quality? You decide.

While you won't be brewing your own coffee (there's another workshop just for that!), you still get the chance to see how to brew using the pourover method and with a french press.
