About Threaded Together
We were brought together during lockdown through online lessons with textile artist Gillian Travis. Some of us knew each other from previous courses with Gillian, while others were new connections made in a time of isolation. What began as virtual workshops developed into friendships over our shared passions for learning and developing our knowledge and use of mixed media textiles.
As a group we’ve continued meeting through residential holidays and face to face and online catchups. We are supportive, friendly, and not afraid to challenge each other, with a shared drive to push ourselves artistically and creatively. Our work spans a range of media, techniques and themes.
We are Threaded Together by experience, inspiration, and friendship and, having had a previous exhibition with Grosvenor Shows, we are excited to once again share our work with a wider audience.
