This annual event is all about welcoming migratory birds back to the Peel-Yalgorup System, where they will stay for the summer before returning to the northern hemisphere to breed. The event raises awareness about migratory shorebirds and the importance of looking after our environment for them.

✅ Wear enclosed shoes👟
✅ Clean up equipment including gloves are supplied but BYO gloves if you prefer 🧤

This event is part of the annual 'Wonders of our Wetlands' Festival. There will be fun and engaging activities for the whole family to enjoy. Experience a fantastic community celebration featuring markets, food vendors, live music, interactive activities, a dog breakfast and our clean up!
FAST FACT: Did you know the Red-necked Stint is the smallest of the 37 migratory shorebirds to visit Australia? Although they weigh little more than a Tim Tam, their tiny wings carry them 25,000 kilometers between Australia and breeding grounds in Siberia and Alaska every year! How amazing is that?!
