Let's come together to celebrate the community of 'Ori Tahiti!!
In affiliation with ‘Ori Nui San Francisco and in partnership with Hirohiti Tematahota based out of Papeete (Tahiti), Teva Oriata invites all pupu ‘ori, halau, and independent dancers to join us for our inaugural event. We aim to contribute to the artistic landscape of the ‘Ori Tahiti community and find connection in our shared passion and responsibility toward perpetuation of the Tahitian culture.
Thursday, October 10 will be a day of workshops led by our esteemed judges [Makau Foster, Hirohiti Tematahotoa, Agnes Manuma]. Friday, October 11 we’ll host a panel discussion exclusively for participating ra’atira. The following day, Saturday, October 12 will be a day of sharing in the form of competition.
