The rivers of Bengal have carried more than just water — they have carried empires, fortunes and the quiet rise of a civilization.Along those rivers flourished the remarkable Bengal Subah, a province whose prosperity illuminated the vast dominions of the Mughal Empire. Its bustling ports welcomed merchants from distant horizons while its looms wove textiles so exquisite that they became the envy of the world.
Just as the finest threads once formed Bengal’s world-famous textiles, BUTEX Debating Club brings forth “তন্তুজাল Inter-Club Bangla BP Debate Tournament 2026" which aims to weave together logic, rhetoric and creativity into a tapestry of compelling discourse.
“তন্তুজাল” symbolizes that intricate weave — a network of voices, arguments and perspectives coming together to create something greater. Here this tournament invites debaters from across institutions to gather in a modern arena of intellect — much like the vibrant exchanges that once took place in the imperial courts of the Mughal Empire. In the spirit of the British Parliamentary format, participants will engage in thought-provoking debates through which we celebrate both the historical brilliance of Bengal and the enduring power of dialogue among the thinkers of today.
Join us as we revive the echoes of a glorious past and transform them into conversations that shape the future.

Teams Cap: 64
Venue: BUTEX, Dhaka.
Date : 17-18 April, 2026
Reg Fee: 2560 bdt per team
-Open and High School breaks shall be conducted separately in post break round.
-Prize money will be awarded.
