Купалле — гэта не толькі пра найдаўжэйшы дзень года. Гэта паваротны момант у прыродным цыкле і жыццёвым коле чалавека, час росквіту прыроды. Свята агню, вады і зеляніны. Паводле народных уяўленняў, у купальскую ноч межы паміж сусветамі становяцца танчэйшымі, расліны набываюць асаблівую моц, а чалавек можа зазірнуць у будучыню праз варажбу і старажытныя абрады. Гэта таямнічы і чароўны час, калі прырода дзеліцца сваёй сілай і дорыць незабыўныя моманты тым, хто гатовы іх заўважыць.
Сёлета, у дадатак да карагодаў, пляцення вянкоў і прыгатавання крупніку, мы дадамо новыя элементы традыцыйнага святкавання — купальскае кола і спальванне ведзьмы (лялечнай, канешне ж 😊). Больш падрабязная праграма з'явіцца неўзабаве.

🌿 We invite all Belarusians in the Washington area, as well as everyone interested in traditional Belarusian culture, to join us in celebrating Kupalle, one of the most important holidays in the Belarusian folk calendar!
Kupalle is about much more than just the longest day of the year. It marks a turning point in the natural cycle and in the human journey through life — a time when nature is at its peak. It is a celebration of fire, water, and greenery. According to folk tradition, on Kupalle night the boundary between worlds grows thinner, plants are believed to possess special powers, and people can glimpse the future through fortune-telling and ancient rituals. It is a magical and mysterious time when nature shares its strength and offers unforgettable moments to those who are ready to embrace them.
This year, in addition to traditional circle dances, wreath-making, and preparing "krupnik", we will introduce new elements of the celebration, including the Kupalle Wheel and the Burning of the Witch (a symbolic effigy, of course 😊). A more detailed program will be announced soon.
