Vimata Eleftherias - Hellenic Dance Weekend [a collaboration of the Greek American Folklore Society and the Federation of Hellenic Societies' Greek Independence Day Parade]. March 20-21-22. Featuring, guest instructor/performer from Greece, Kostas Mitsis. Friday March 20 7pm: Welcome event at Stathakion
Saturday March 21 10am-4pm: Workshops at Stathakion
Saturday March 21 7pm: GAFS Annual Dance at Stathakion [alt venue if enough pre-registrations]
Sunday March 22 130pm: Exhibition at Athens Square [alt venue if rain]
Registration fee for full weekend: $200 to include access to all events, recording of workshops, certificate of completion, other swag TBD
Individual event options:
Friday March 20 7pm: Welcome event at Stathakion [$50 if separate]
Saturday March 21 10am-4pm: Workshops at Stathakion [$80 if separate]
Saturday March 21 7pm: GAFS Annual Dance at Stathakion [$100 if separate]
Sunday March 22 130pm: Exhibition at Athens Square [no cost]
Registration fee for full weekend: $200 to include access to all events, recording of workshops, certificate of completion, other swag
Registration will begin Monday, Jan 26
Room blocks at Voco Astoria (IHG) preferred rates available if you reserve by Feb 19
