Ómun er sprottin úr meira en þriggja áratuga einstaklingsbundinni tilraunastarfsemi á sviði íslenskrar ljóðlistar, talaðs orðs og andrúmsloftskenndrar trúarathafnatónlistar. Tríóið sameinar Ásdísi Sif (söng), Nico Guerrero (gítar/hljómborð) og Tristan Zand (strokið kontrabassa) í einstakri hljóðrænni pílagrímsferð. Með því að endurvekja heiðnar þjóðsögur og animísk trúarritúöl kannar hópurinn íslenskar frásagnir í gegnum spunin orð og tónlist sem flæðir á milli ensku og íslensku.
Í kyrrlátu landslagi fíngerðra kassískra hljóma birtast orð, leysast upp og snúa aftur, og leiða hlustendur inn í frásagnarkennda vídd þar sem hljóð og saga hreyfast sem eitt. Born from over three decades of individual experimental practice in Icelandic poetry, spoken word, and atmospheric ritualistic music, the trio Ómun brings together Ásdís Sif (vocals), Nico Guerrero (guitar/keyboard), and Tristan Zand (bowed bass) for a unique sonic pilgrimage. Revisiting pagan legends and animistic rituals, the group explores Icelandic narratives through improvised words and music that drift between English and Icelandic.
Within the quiet landscape of delicate acoustic textures, words appear, dissolve, and return, guiding listeners toward a narrative dimension where sound and story move as one.
