Dariia Tumanova sýnir í Spönginni.
Sýningin sameinar röð vatnslitamynda sem margar snúast um fornbíla og þann sérstaka heim sem þeir tilheyra. Bílar eru ekki aðeins farartæki heldur einnig menningarleg og söguleg tákn - minningar um liðna tíma.
Sýningin snýst þó ekki aðeins um bíla – heldur einnig um minningar, menningu og þann ljóma sem fortíðin getur enn varpað á daglegt líf okkar. Þetta er listræn ferð í gegnum gamla bílaheima.
Dariia Tumanova er listakona og myndlistarkennari frá Úkraínu og er þetta fyrsta sýning hennar á Íslandi.
Sýningaropnun verður föstudaginn 7. ágúst kl. 16:30.
Sýningin stendur til 28. ágúst.

In the glow of bygone days is an exhibition by Dariia Tumanova.
The exhibition brings together a series of watercolour paintings that revolve around classic cars and the special world to which they belong. Cars are not just a means of transport but also cultural and historical symbols – memories of times gone by.
However, the exhibition is therefore not just about cars – it is also about memories, culture and the glow that the past can still cast on our daily lives. This is an artistic journey through the world of classic cars.
Dariia Tumanova is an artist and art teacher from Ukraine, and this is her first exhibition in Iceland.
The exhibition opening will be on Friday, 7 August at 16:30.
The exhibition runs until 28 August.
