Éamon Fogarty, Sophia Pastorius-Young, & beetsblog play songs for you

Éamon first encountered the music of beetsblog at a show in the basement of the incredible feminist bookstore Bookends in Florence, MA where he was blown away by both the quality of the melodies and the delicate balance of careful arrangement and improvisational looseness with which the assembled musicians brought the songs to life. Éamon also first encountered the music of Sophia Pastorius-Young in a basement (this one in Bushwick) having ventured out for the first time since the birth of his son to catch the set of a different musician friend from Western MA (fellow Prefab Sprout-head Jack Alboher.) Sophia has one of those rare voices that immediately focuses the energy of a room, and draws people out of their own little worlds and into a different one, immediate, communal, and conjured right there in the moment. Seance-music par excellence. For this show, Éamon will be joined by David Ball on Drums, Paul Pandit on upright bass, and the aforementioned Sophia P-Y singing harmonies.
