2,506 Years Ago, THREE HUNDRED Spartans and a relative handful of other Greeks held back HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Persia's best.
With this historic stand in mind and in following through on its commitment to "Take the Greek Experience to the NEXT LEVEL," the Greek Sports and Social Network is organizing an event to honor the memory and spirit of those who fought at Thermopylae, to whose legendary courage and valor all of mankind still aspires, and to honor the thousands of Greek Chicagoans who've braved the elements to come to our crazy events in the most entertaining way it knows how. The Greek Sports and Social Network is proud to announce its next event:

«ΜΑΧΗ ΘΕΡΜΟΠΥΛΩΝ 2026» Hellenic Paintball Outing!!!

In organizing this event, the GSSN hopes to bring together the finest of Greek youth and young adults, in a day of good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and good old competitive fun.
Team organization will be informal and walk-on individuals are welcome. If any of the countless "Syllogoi" or Greek organizations, Greek university student groups, Church and School YAL or youth organizations, or even a group of friends, wish to field a team: EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
If you belong to any of these organizations, churches, or schools, please relay info about the GSSN and tournament to your youth coordinator.
Neither history nor legend has recorded such an event taking place within the Greek-American community to such a great extent, so help make history!!!
We look forward to seeing if the Spartan or Pan-Laconian Federation Team can live up to the reputation of their ancestors.

CPX, the best paintball venue in the Midwest was recently sold. We are currently in negotiations with multiple locations for whichever one will give us the best value and experience for our fans.

Game Variations to be played:
(depending on what the teams choose)
- Capture the Flag
- Fortress
- Terminator
- Huntin' da wabbit
- Πανω απ το Αβλακι/ Κατω απ το Αβλακι
(People that come from North of Corinth vs South of Corinth.)
- Νισιοτες / Βουνισοι (Islanders vs Highlanders)
- GREEKS VS THE WORLD (Greeks vs Barbarians)
- And much much more
- We start out the day, Teams of 12-15. Everyone gets used how paintball works. Which side is the "business" end of the paintball gun. We brake up the teams according to skill level makes sure teams are evenly balanced. A few games in, the rookies are as proficient as the veterans.
- We start to increase team sizes, and battle field sizes.
- Towards the end of the day, we usually go all out war. Massive Teams Massive Battles.
- Then our personal favorite: GREEKS vs THE WORLD!
We Challenge Everyone else that's playing paintball at the park that day. If they accept... We are the 300!!!
