One of London’s Biggest Mexican Independence Day Celebrations
Get ready to experience the colour, energy, flavours and spirit of Mexico in the heart of London.
Mestizo is bringing together the Mexican community, Londoners and visitors from around the world for a huge celebration of Mexican Independence Day at the spectacular De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms.
And you don’t have to be Mexican to join the fiesta — everyone is welcome!
The celebration will be packed with authentic Mexican experiences, including live mariachi, traditional Mexican dancers, live singers and bands, DJs, Mexican food and drinks, entertainment and plenty of dancing.
At the heart of the evening will be El Grito, the traditional Mexican Independence ceremony, celebrated together with representatives of the Mexican Embassy — bringing one of Mexico’s most important traditions to London.
During the day, Mercado Mestizo will bring a more relaxed, colourful and family-friendly atmosphere, with Mexican food, music, traditional performances, entertainment and activities.
As the evening begins, the celebration transforms into a huge Mexican fiesta, with live performances, cumbia, mariachi, DJs, food, drinks and dancing continuing late into the night.

Info: Short break while we transform the venue and prepare for the main evening celebration. Doors reopen at 6:00 PM.
