🎶 Čo znamená hudba v časoch neistoty, kríz a spoločenských otrasov? Je len únikom z reality, alebo dokáže vytvárať priestor odporu, solidarity a spoločného prežívania?
✨ Večer na pomedzí diskusie, filmu, koncertu a performancie otvorí otázky o sile hudobnej scény dnes – od DIY komunít a klubovej kultúry až po angažované umenie. Spoločne s hosťami budeme hľadať odpovede na to, či môže hudba stále fungovať ako útočisko aj nástroj zmeny.
🎤 Program prinesie diskusiu s osobnosťami hudobnej a umeleckej scény, premietanie filmu o Karafiátovej revolúcii, koncerty Berlin Manson a portugalského projektu Bateu Matou aj otvorený participatívny samizdat.

❓ Je ešte hudobná scéna schopná vytvárať protiváhu moci, alebo sa z nej stala len ďalšia forma úniku? A kde dnes vznikajú nové formy kolektívneho odporu, starostlivosti a slobody?
🎧 Od podzemných koncertov a bytových akcií počas normalizácie, cez porevolučnú klubovú explóziu až po dnešné DIY scény, free parties a festivalové komunity – hudba opakovane fungovala ako únik, odpor aj spôsob, ako si udržať dôstojnosť v chaose politických a spoločenských otrasov. V diskusii s názvom Hudba = útočisko v časoch chaosu? sa zameriame na to, prečo sa v časoch neistoty, vojen, kríz a polarizácie znovu obraciame k spoločnému prežívaniu hudby a tela v pohybe. Čo dnes znamená rave, koncert alebo klub ako priestor solidarity?

🌹 Môže revolúcia prebehnúť bez výstrelov? V apríli 1974 sa Portugalsko zapísalo do dejín pokojnou Karafiátovou revolúciou, ktorá po takmer päťdesiatich rokoch ukončila autoritársky režim diktátora Antonia Salazara. Skupina mladých dôstojníkov spolu s podporou verejnosti otvorila krajine cestu k slobode, demokracii a ukončeniu koloniálnych vojen. Film Capitães de Abril prináša dramatický a zároveň citlivý pohľad na udalosti týchto dní. Sleduje kľúčové momenty prevratu aj osobné dilemy ľudí, ktorí sa rozhodli postaviť moci bez použitia násilia. Režisérka Maria de Medeiros vytvorila pôsobivý príbeh o odvahe, solidarite a sile občianskeho odporu.
✨ Film pripomína, že aj pokojná revolúcia môže zásadne zmeniť dejiny — a že sloboda vzniká tam, kde sa ľudia rozhodnú konať spolu.

⏳ Doba trvania: po celý čas podujatia
📚 Samizdat označuje neoficiálne, tajne šírené texty – knihy, časopisy, letáky či iné písané materiály, ktoré vznikali mimo štátnej cenzúry, najmä počas komunizmu v krajinách východného bloku. Autori samizdatov písali slobodne, mimo oficiálnych štruktúr, často pod pseudonymom, s vedomím, že riskujú.
🔄 Projekt Samizdata ‘26 na túto tradíciu nadväzuje – a zároveň ju prevracia naruby. V čase, keď sa „najslobodnejšie“ vyjadrenia šíria anonymne a digitálne, Samizdata ‘26 pozýva ľudí hovoriť otvorene a pod vlastným menom.
🎙️ Vo foyeri vznikne živý priestor zdieľania: otvorená nahrávacia búdka, kde môže každý návštevník nahrať svoju osobnú výpoveď, myšlienku, báseň, spomienku či odkaz budúcnosti.
📄 Každý hlas sa stáva súčasťou kolektívneho samizdatu, ktorý sa bude priebežne prepisovať do textovej podoby a po skončení podujatia zverejní ako digitálny výtlačok Samizdata ‘26 vol. 2 – voľne šíriteľný a otvorený na ďalšie dopĺňanie.

🔥 Berlin Manson (SK)
Synth-punková kapela Berlin Manson je v tom najlepšom slova zmysle zjavom na slovenskej hudobnej scéne. Ich angažované a nekompromisné texty v spojení s energickou hudbou si za krátku dobu obľúbilo obrovské množstvo fanúšikov a fanúšičiek, o čom svedčia beznádejne vypredané koncerty.
🏠 Berlin Manson vznikli ako “bytová” D.I.Y. kapela v čase pandemických lockdownov. Pôvodné duo Patrik Nagy a Adam Dragun neskôr doplnil bubeník Tomáš Tabiš a v ich skladbách, ale aj na koncertoch, vystupuje celá plejáda umelcov a umelkýň ako Dušan Vlk, Fvck_kvlt, Katarzia, FVLCRVM, Adam The World, Edúv Syn, Temný Rudo, Paris a ďalší.

🥁 Bateu Matou (PT)
Bateu Matou je energická formácia z Portugalska, ktorá vznikla ako spoločný projekt troch skúsených hudobníkov – Iva Costu (Sara Tavares), Quima Albergariu (PAUS) a DJ-a Riota (ex-Buraka Som Sistema).
🌍 Ich hudba je unikátna fúzia dynamickej perkusie, elektroniky a rytmov súčasnej tanečnej hudby, ktorá čerpá z afrických, brazílskych aj miestnych lisabonských vplyvov. Bateu Matou nehrá len obyčajné rytmy – ich zvuk je založený na prepojení bubnov, beatov a počítačov, ktoré vytvárajú pulzujúcu hudbu medzi DJ setom a živou kapelou. Spolupracujú s rôznymi vokalistami a producentmi, čo dodáva ich skladbám široký emocionálny aj rytmický rozsah.

🎶 What does music mean in times of uncertainty, crises, and social upheaval? Is it just an escape from reality, or can it create a space for resistance, solidarity, and shared experience?
✨ An evening at the intersection of discussion, film, concert, and performance will open questions about the power of today’s music scene—from DIY communities and club culture to engaged art. Together with our guests, we will explore whether music can still function as a refuge and a tool for change.
🎤 The program features a discussion with figures from the music and art scene, a screening of a film about the Carnation Revolution, concerts by Berlin Manson and the Portuguese project Bateu Matou, as well as an open participatory samizdat.

🎧 From underground concerts and apartment gatherings during normalization, through the post-revolution club explosion to today’s DIY scenes, free parties, and festival communities—music has repeatedly functioned as an escape, a form of resistance, and a way to maintain dignity in times of political and social turmoil. In the discussion Music = a refuge in times of chaos?, we will focus on why, in times of uncertainty, wars, crises, and polarization, we turn again to shared experiences of music and bodies in motion. What does a rave, concert, or club mean today as a space of solidarity?

🌹 Can a revolution happen without gunfire? In April 1974, Portugal made history with the peaceful Carnation Revolution, which ended the authoritarian regime of dictator António Salazar after nearly fifty years. A group of young officers, supported by the public, opened the country’s path to freedom, democracy, and the end of colonial wars. The film Capitães de Abril offers both a dramatic and sensitive view of these events. It follows key moments of the uprising as well as the personal dilemmas of people who chose to stand up to power without violence. Director Maria de Medeiros created a powerful story about courage, solidarity, and the strength of civic resistance.
✨ The film reminds us that even a peaceful revolution can fundamentally change history—and that freedom emerges where people decide to act together.

⏳ Duration: throughout the entire event
📚 Samizdat refers to unofficial, secretly distributed texts—books, magazines, leaflets, and other written materials created outside state censorship, especially during communism in Eastern Bloc countries. Samizdat authors wrote freely, outside official structures, often under pseudonyms, fully aware of the risks.
🔄 The Samizdata ‘26 project builds on this tradition—while also turning it upside down. At a time when the “freest” expressions are often anonymous and digital, Samizdata ‘26 invites people to speak openly under their own names.
🎙️ A live sharing space will be created in the foyer: an open recording booth where any visitor can record their personal testimony, thought, poem, memory, or message for the future.
📄 Every voice becomes part of a collective samizdat, which will be continuously transcribed into text and, after the event, published as a digital edition of Samizdata ‘26 vol. 2—freely shareable and open for further contributions.

🔥 Berlin Manson (SK)
The synth-punk band Berlin Manson is, in the best sense of the word, a phenomenon on the Slovak music scene. Their engaged and uncompromising lyrics combined with energetic music have quickly gained a massive following, as evidenced by their consistently sold-out shows.
🏠 Berlin Manson started as a “bedroom” DIY band during pandemic lockdowns. The original duo Patrik Nagy and Adam Dragúň was later joined by drummer Tomáš Tabiš, and their songs and live shows feature a wide range of artists including Dušan Vlk, Fvck_kvlt, Katarzia, FVLCRVM, Adam The World, Edúv Syn, Temný Rudo, Paris, and others.

🥁 Bateu Matou (PT)
Bateu Matou is an energetic formation from Portugal, created as a joint project of three experienced musicians—Ivo Costa (Sara Tavares), Quim Albergaria (PAUS), and Riot (ex-Buraka Som Sistema).
🌍 Their music is a unique fusion of dynamic percussion, electronics, and contemporary dance rhythms, drawing from African, Brazilian, and local Lisbon influences. Bateu Matou doesn’t just play rhythms—their sound is built on the connection between drums, beats, and computers, creating pulsating music somewhere between a DJ set and a live band. They collaborate with various vocalists and producers, giving their tracks a wide emotional and rhythmic range.
